L’Inconnue de la Seine • A tribute to the woman of the Siene. Circa 1880’s an unknown woman was pulled from the river Siene. She was retrieved with such a serine expression that the Paris morgue felt compelled to take a wax cast of her face. Her face has also been used in the development of resuscitation dolls. This is her death mask.
